Upholstery steam eco friendly cleaning help?
I'm very thrifty and have bought all my furniture for our new home, and second hand. I also have a baby on the way anytime you want to clean the upholstery, either professionally or myself. I rent a steam cleaner store But I wonder if another compound to use in addition to the material used is usually sold with car fumes ... must be non-toxic. Any ideas? I in the Los Angeles area. Thank you!
Vinegar, lemon juice, Club Soda, Baking soda all have great cleansing properties and are nontoxic. For furniture, I would start by sprinkling baking soda throughout the tissue, then vacuum with a regular vacuum - this should help get rid of the smell. The then disinfect steam cleaning upholstery. In addition, many products are sold now that are safer to use, world market leads to a brand that I think is not toxic, although that is a bit more expensive, and even Target sells the mark method which I think is also non-toxic. Be careful though, because if something is biodegradable, which means which is not toxic. Good luck and congratulations on a small!
